Who were Homer and Ulysses and what is the real meaning behind the Odyssey? In this documentary we follow Ulysses’s footsteps on his journey across some of the most fascinating natural landscapes of the Mediterranean and we try to give an answer to those questions that have afflicted generations of scholars for over three millennia.

With the objective of identifying those unique places that have inspired the creation of the Odyssey’s epic, our exploration will also look at disclosing the identity of the enigmatic author behind humanity’s most important literary work and to unveil the medical and scientific truths at the base of some of the most intriguing myths and legends, that surround Ulysses and his adventure, in a way the epic of the human being.
